My son and his girlfriend celebrated a very big announcement. They are getting married! To help celebrate they held a family BBQ on her 200 year old family farm. About 70 people were in attendance. My husband built the "grand" cupcake tower, which held 12 dozen cupcakes. There were cupcakes galore, loads of food, and lots of laughs. The highlight of the day was a horse drawn wagon that took guests on a tour of the farm, along the corn fields. PSI Physiotherapy Clinic is celebrating their fantastic clients once more! Carol at the clinic said the cupcakes were almost all gone by 12:30 and that a bigger order would be necessary for next time. They loved the Fall theme!

The Fall season is just around the corner and thoughts of apple pies, spicy gingerbreads, pumpkin pies, cobblers and crisps, and all sorts of warming desserts are on my baking agenda. Once September rolls around and the craziness of summer holidays is done, I can't help but turn to the kitchen to create delicious, comforting, cozy treats. I am preparing for a very special Engagement Party held on a 200 year old farm. A Fall theme is just the right thing to help us celebrate in style, but still have that rustic farm feel. Can't wait!!

I was asked to make a special birthday cake for my friends Mom. It had to be extra special...so I delivered a way too tall Cookies and Cream Cake.  It was a BIG HIT!

Happy Canada Day! Get ready to celebrate. I have baked up a couple of batches of focaccia ready to be nibbled on while the BBQ is heating up, and for dessert... a pile of red and white cupcakes.
